December 2014

Ride to Remember. A huge Thank You to everyone who supported and participated in our innaugeral Ride to Remember to benefit the Alzheimer's Family Organization. The ride started from the new Good Neighbor Trailhead in Brooksville, wound its way through the beautiful country of northern Hernando County and ended with lunch at the historic Coney Island Drive-In. This event will continue to grow and improve so tuned for our 2015 event!

November 2014

The annual Noble Riders Bike MS fundraiser at the Strong Tower Vineyard was a success again this year. The event raised several thousand dollars toward the team fundraising goal. Thank You for everyone who supported this fun evening at the vineyard!

July 2014

Our Tour de Crank Works in July is continuing to grow! This year we had over 60 cyclists join us for our trademark event. All stages of the ride were a huge hit! We again had the big screen for the 14th stage of the tour along with awesome food and door prizes. Check us out again next July and join us for this challenging event!

May 31, 2014. Third Annual Women's Ride Day. Our Annual Womens Ride Day was a huge success. Thanks to all the women who came out and enjoyed the event at the Strong Tower Vineyard. Also a huge thanks to The Tilted Teacup for helping out with food and to all our SAG guys who made our SAG stops super awesome!

April 2014

April 12-13, 2014. Thank You to everyone who donated, rode, and volunteered for the 27th Annual Bike MS:The Citrus Tour. The event was a huge success! Cyclists rode for two days from Bok Tower Gardens to the Caribe Royale Resort and back to bring awareness to Multiple Schlerosis. Crank Works Bicycles sponsored several events throughout the year and donated a mechanic for the ride itself. A HUGE congratulations to our Noble Riders Team Namesake, Emily Noble, for completing her very first 53 mile MS ride!!

April 6, 2014. Cross FL Bike Ride from Cocoa Beach on the East Coast to Bayport on the West Coast of Hernando County. Congratulations to Manny, Paul, Jo An, Patty, and Eric for completing the 170 mile, Cross Florida Bike Ride!!

February 2014

Crank Works Bicycles provided mechanical support for the Croom 35/50. This was an extremely muddy and cold 35 or 50 mile mountain Bike ride through the Withlacoochee State Forest. A HUGE THANK YOU to the SWAMP club for putting this grueling ride on.

Crank Works Bicycles provided support for the FL State Cyclocross State Championship at the Little Everglades Ranch in Dade City. What an incredible weekend of racing! The weather couldn't have been better. Several of the top pro riders from across the country were in attendance as well as our fantastic talent from the State of FL. Our very own Patty Allison took third in her class in her cyclocross debut! Crank Works Bicycles was also incredibly lucky to have been able to gift a Team Kodak Road Racing kit back to its original owner, our state cyclocross Champ and Team Giant rider Josh Thornton!

Crank Works Bicycles and Team Noble Riders had a GREAT turn-out for the Tour de Vino with over 70 cyclists from several different bike teams in attendance including the Noble Riders, ChainGang, Grupetto, Team Pango, and more! This was a fully supported Bike MS Team Training Ride from the Strong Tower Winery. After the ride, we had lunch on the beautiful Veranda and social time with our teammates! See more photos here.

Crank Works Bicycles participated in the Light Up Ridge Manor event. There were lots of vendors with games and crafts for the kids as well as food, exhibitions and Santa! We had a great time meeting families in the community at this fun christmas event!

November 2013

Habitat for Humanity Gala. Crank Works Bicycles was very excited to assist Habitat for Humanity in their annual Gala fundraiser. Crank Works donated a Jamis Hudson bicycle to their silent auction which raised nearly $400 to benefit building homes in Hernando county!

November 23rd. Our first MS training ride of the season was a huge success! We had about 50 cyclists from several different teams show up to ride the hills of Brooksville and have lunch afterwards. Thanks to the MS Society for providing our SAG goodies. There will now be team rides bi-weekly as move closer to the April event.

November 1st, Noble Riders Bike MS Team Event. A HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who participated and donated to the Noble Riders Bike MS fundraiser at Strong Tower Winery. Numerous local businesses donated items to be raffled and auctioned off. The event raised almost $2500!

October 2013

October 19 & 20, Brooksville Cycling Classic. We were honored to be the wheel pit sponsor again this year for both the Criterium on Saturday and the road race on Sunday. Aside from keeping the racers spare wheels and doing last minute fixes on bikes, we also participated in the Ed Allison Memorial Ride. These are very challenging courses on the race series so make sure to come out next year!

September 29, 2nd Annual Josh Thornton Cyclocross Clinic. For all those cyclists who are curious about cyclocross, here is your chance to see what it's all about! 2nd Annual Josh Thornton Cyclocross Clinic. Come learn from 2 time Pro Cyclocross State Champion Josh as he teaches all skills needed for a successful cx season! September 29,2013 1:00 pm Little Everglades Ranch. $20.00 skills and BBQ. All profits to help Josh's racing career.

July 6th "Tour de Crank Works" We had a great turn-out for our first Tour de Crank Works. Over 40 riders came out and joined us for two challenging rides through Hernando county. After several requests, we will be adding it to our annual calender!

May 15th Ride of Silence. We had an outstanding turnout for the 10th Annual Ride of Silence. The ride was 12 silent miles from the Suncoast Parkway to Brewers Funeral Home in Brooksville and back. We ride every year to bring awareness to cyclists on the roadways and to commemorate our fellow cyclists who have been injured or killed on the roadways.

May 5th is Women's Ride Day. We had a great ride. The weather was absolutely gorgeous. Thank You to all the women who showed up for the event and a big Thanks to Manny Rodriguez for lending all of his assistance!

Croom 35/50 Off Road Challenge. 35 or 50 miles of great single track! We had regular rain leading up to the event so the trails were in great condition. Swamp Club also provided a pasta dinner afterwards.

Brooksville Bicycles (now Crank Works Bicycles) First Anniversary and Ribbon Cutting with the Chamber of Commerce Event. Our First anniversary and Ribbon cutting with the Hernando County Chamber of Commerce went great! We had a good turn out from the local business community and appreciate all the support!

3rd Annual Brooksville Cycling Classic in beautiful downtown Brooksville, FL. The 3rd Annual Brooksville Cycling Classic had a great turn out this year! There were plenty of crashes and excitement both days of racing. Brooksville Bicycles provided the race mechanic and Saturday was definately a busy day. We were set up right on the course with a great view of everything. Part of the race festivities was the police/fireman rally. A member from each department volunteered to assemble a bicycle and race to the end of the course and back. Brooksville Bicycles had the pleasure to work with a City of Brooksville Policeman in this very exciting activity. Sadly, we conceded the win to the Brooksville Fire Department but everyone had a great time.

Brooksville Bicycles recently took part in Green World Path Organics "Earth Day" event on April 21, 2012. There were lots of vendors of organic and health oriented goods, seminars on various subjects, and live entertainment. There were several items being raffled off to feed the needy in Hernando county. Brooksville Bicycles donated an "Earthcruiser" bicycle to help raise additional funds toward their cause!

March 2012

Brooksville Bicycles recently donated a bicycle to the Rotary Club's 34th annual Radio Auction on March 24, 2012. The radio auction was conducted on Hernando County's 1450 WWJB to raise money for the Rotary Club of Brooksville's Charitable Trust which funds humanitarian and educational projects throughout the community.
